Restaurant 1906:
Name of hotel’s restaurant “1906” derives from historical facts; this was the year the hotel was built and the train connection between Bled and Trieste constructed. Today, restaurant 1906 with its chef, Jure Kordež, presents a leading force in the town’s culinary experiences;
reviving traditional dishes with a modern twist, offering wine tastings in hotel’s private wine cellar, organizing cooking classes & culinary theme events. These are just some of the activities that share one common thread – tasting Slovene dishes and bringing visitors closer
to the local way of life.
We wish to enable every visitor with a supreme culinary experience, therefore our menu changes daily. This way we can provide fresh dishes based on the season and local ingredients. Inspiration for our creations comes from the beautiful environment in which we
live in & from stories about food which are present in Hotel Triglav for over 100 years. From our daily menu you can choose 3, 4, 5 or 6 courses. We are ready to host you with 8 courses anytime or even with a greater gourmet adventure when requested in advance. Besides the
daily menu during lunch time you may also choose the fabulous dishes from our a la carte offer.
In warmer months we will serve you on our terrace with the most wonderful view of Lake Bled and surrounding mountains. For those requiring more privacy we will arrange a table in the room with a fireplace or in the wine club, where no one will disturb your meeting.
In front of our wine cellar, there is a very private garden where you can also indulge in a great cup of coffee, snack, cocktail, glass of Slovenian wine & enjoy some peace and quiet.

If you are a lover of wine, visiting us is simply a must. We are the only hotel in Bled with a wine cellar. Our collection of over 200 top-quality Slovenian wines from every domestic wine-growing region will give you a taste of how diverse Slovenian wine is. As many as 70 of
these bottled wines are served by the glass. Isn’t it great to be able to sample wines from all corners of the country in one place?
The best interlocutor to the wine is surely our sommelier, Danijel Galjot and his team, as they are experts in local and foreign wines. Danijel holds a WSET diploma and is a true master of the wine world. If you let him know your favorite foreign wine, he’ll serve you a
Slovenian wine very similar to it.
Danijel and his team love wine, respect it and take every opportunity to educate themselves further. In their company, you will experience numerous new dimensions of wine, relate to interesting wine stories and learn which wine enhances the enjoyment of the dishes you choose. Their aim is for you to sample and explore Slovenian wine world and they will be delighted to be your guides!
Wine Club
Our Wine Club welcomes hotel guests and all those who fancy a short break and some tasty nibbles during their walk around the lake. Order a glass of wine you haven’t come across before and enjoy a world of new tastes along with the wonderful views. The colour, bouquet and aroma of the wine will shine even brighter in the pleasant ambience of the Club. The Wine Club, however, offers more than just top-quality wine. You are also invited to sample tasty homemade snacks. Also, fans of coffee will enjoy a special feature: coffee served in gilded cups from 1937. Wine lovers’ gatherings are held in the Club, where new vintages and winemakers are showcased.
